Zuckerberg Charitable Foundation, Goodwill or attempt to Avoid Tax?

Earlier this week, Mark Zuckerberg said would allocate 99 percent of his stake in Facebook for a charitable foundation established with his wife Priscilla Chan.

The plan was taken more than 100 thousand Facebookers. Many have praised, not a few who criticize.

Zuckerberg accused of deliberately making "Chan Zuckerberg Initiative" -so foundation sosialnya- name as a shield to avoid paying taxes up the value of billions of dollars.

No thanks, Zuckerberg explained the foundation of social management in more detail. Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative, he said, will be a Limited Liability Company (LLC), as reported by SlashGear and collected KompasTekno, Friday (04/12/2015).

For the uninitiated, LLC is a hybrid form of business entity that is run without putting the risk of personal assets. There was no issuance of shares and the owner is referred to as a member.

By doing so, Zuckerberg underlined that he did not receive a tax benefit from the transfer of his Facebook shares to Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative.

"If we transferringstock to a traditional foundation, we will get a commission taxes. However, the mechanism LLC, there is no tax revenue that we receive," he said.

"We're still going to pay capital gains tax when shares are sold by the LLC form of business entity," he added.

Further, LLC selected from Zuckerberg also due to its flexibility in the financial and the influence of interest. His foundation, he said, could allocate funds to non-profit organizations, investment companies and social movements, or participate in policy discussions.

"The key is the ability to fund any kind, regardless of the organizational structure that make it up," Zuckerberg explained.

Although already explained at length about his foundation, there is still skeptical about the social initiatives Zuckerberg. Some further comments from netizens led to a track record of tax payments up over the years.

Facebook is said to be unfair to pay taxes to the countries that permit services to operate. Zuckerberg realign these allegations.

"Say we got 100 dollars at the French base of the technology we have built in the US, the data center in Sweden and sales offices in France and Italy. Taxes that we remove from the revenue it would have to be divided and without recourse to all the countries involved in the operation of the service, "he explained.

According to Zuckerberg, every country will always feel the tax revenue from Facebook is not enough. In fact, he claimed the tax paid have followed the procedure and should be divided in accordance portion.

Whatever is described Zuckerberg, in fact, each person can not be forced to think positive about what he was doing.
